ADVANCE Transcarpathian Advocacy and Development Centre in cooperation with the Peace Corps of USA implements the program titled. The project is funded by the US Embassy. The project facilitates the development of Roma communities, supports to enhance the educational level of Roma youth and this way their social and cultural development.
During the program implementation young Roma people take part various seminars and trainings in the issues of team-building and project management. Beside the foundation organizes different events for strengthening tolerance and acceptance. Simultaneously, during the program period the organisation monitors the issue of human rights, and implements law defense and advocacy activities.
The program’s main activities:
- Back to school seminar
- Stay in school initiation
- Mini-grant opportunity for participating schools
- Establishment of Roma rights in Ukraine association
- Providing free of charge legal advice for the target groups in the CAB operating on the basis of ADVANCE
Back to school seminar:
- participants are pupils of Mezovari, Makkosjanosi, Beregujfalu and Beregovo schools, total number of 60 persons
- the venue of the seminar is village Papi, in the headquarter of the charitable organisation Opportunity for life
- the seminar will be implemented two times:
- the first is from 27th September till 3rd October
- the second is from 11th October till 17th October
